Festival booker Andy Copping has announced that the first batch of bands will be announced for Download before the end of January.

Writing on Twitter, Copping has announced that Download 2010 will be officially launched at the end of the month, with band announcements and ticket sales beginning simultaneously.

With stiff new competition from ‘another festival’ we think Download’s line-up could be bigger than ever with Pearl Jam, Muse and Motörhead rumoured alongside the all-but-confirmed AC/DC. Stay tuned!
