Love Not Riots is a campaign created by festival fans to promote and maintain safety and the festival communities wellbeing and enjoyment.
Having been to Reading and Leeds, and reading up on other festivals we came to realise that there seems to be a trend growing for last night “riots” at Festivals.
In a bid to protect the future of the nations much loved festivals, “Love Not Riots” was created to address the need for considerate behaviour and to stamp out the destructive behaviour witnessed over the years that causes unnecessary damage and upset to all parties involved “Love Not Riots” aims to bring festival lovers together spreading one positive message in a united voice. That message is that all festivals are brought to us, thanks to the time, trouble and cost of its organisers, and how we choose to enjoy those events is just as responsible for their success and continuation as the organisers themselves.
If we make one possible rioter listen and change their views of how to enjoy Sunday Night the campaign will have worked and been worth every second!
This campaign pivots on the fact that “We all want the festivals still around and safe for our children to come and enjoy as much as we do!”
The campaign spreads the message that these events are about everyone’s enjoyment, not about how much damage and destruction you can cause and certainly not about risking the safety of others around them or the events future.
We offer a chance for the organisers and the fans to come together to safe guard the future of their event. A chance for everyone attending to be a part of a revolutionary movement aimed at protecting festivals close to the hearts of thousands.
“Love Not Riots” has so far attracted the attention of numerous bands, festival organisers (Mean Fiddler and Live Nation), local and national press and of course many thousands of our fellow festival goers.
